Track Student Behavior by Class or Activity
The BITS Behavioral Management System allows educators to track student behavior by the
class or activity in which the behavior occurs.
This is, of course, important because certain students may exhibit behavioral
patterns that are related to specific classroom settings or activities that
the student is participating in.
In order to track this data, the BITS system allows you to create as
many classes or activities to track as you wish. You manage classes and activities
in the Class/Activity tab or the program. The key features of this tab
are listed below:
Class/Activity Name
This is simply the name of the class or activity that you have created.
Last Incident Date
This is the date of the last recorded incident for this class or activity. You can create new
behavioral incidents in the
Incidents Tab or by clicking on the
"Create New Incident" button at the top of the program screen.
Preventative
The Preventative column summarizes the count and percent of total incidents that
are considered Preventative. The higher the percentage of Preventative behavioral incidents,
the more in control students are likely to be in the class/activity.
Disciplinary
The Disciplinary column summarizes the count and percent of total incidents that
are considered Disciplinary. The higher the percent of incidents are Disciplinary
the more likely it is that the class/activity is prone to disciplinary behavioral incidents.
A high reading in this column may indicate that the class could use additional resources,
or that certain students need to be seperated in this class.
